Huseyn Javid’s House Museum hosted a meeting with People's Artist Ramiz Melik
ANAS Huseyn Javid’s House Museum hosted a meeting with People's Artist Ramiz Melik devoted to the 100th anniversary of the “Iblis” first play.
Director of the Museum, Doctor of Philology Gulbeniz Babahanli told on history of the play. She noted that, the drama was staged on December 21, 1920, before its publication: "The director was Abbas Mirza Sharifzade, A.Sharifzade and Mirsayfaddin Kirmanshahli played the main roles".
The last time the drama was staged in 1983 devoted to the 100th anniversary of H.Javid. Producer was Mehti Mammadov, composer Aydin Azimov and the actors - Hamlet Hanizade and Ramiz Melik G.Babakhanly added.
Then, Ramiz Melik, Doctor of Philology Pasha Karimov, Yusif Gunaydin, Azizagaga Najafov and others spoke on the role of the play in Azerbaijani literature and the humanity of H.Javid. The event also demonstrated a documentary devoted to the Huseyn Javid’s life and activity and the role of People's Artist Ramiz Melik on the stage.
In conclusion, Hamlet Hanizade's daughter - Aygun Hanizade thanked the Ministry of Culture and the National Drama Theater for organizing the event.
